How Many Hijama Sessions Do I Need?

The number of sessions needed depends on your condition, health goals, and whether you're seeking treatment or maintenance. Here's our honest guide.

One of the most common questions is "how many sessions will I need?" The answer depends on what you're treating and your individual response to the therapy.

For Acute Conditions For recent injuries or short-term pain flare-ups, 1–3 sessions over 2–4 weeks is often sufficient.

For Chronic Conditions Chronic pain, long-standing fatigue, or systemic conditions typically require a course of 4–6 sessions over 6–12 weeks before significant change is established.

For General Wellness and Sunnah Practice Many people who follow the Sunnah and use Hijama for general health maintenance have sessions 2–3 times per year on the recommended lunar calendar days. This preventative approach is excellent for maintaining health.

For Migraines and Headaches 3–6 sessions are typically recommended, followed by maintenance sessions based on your pattern of response.

Realistic Expectations Most clients notice some benefit after their first session — often better sleep and improved energy. Significant improvement in chronic conditions typically becomes apparent after the 3rd session. Hijama works by stimulating healing processes that take time.

Our Recommendation We always start by understanding your specific goals and condition. We'll be honest about what's realistic and what timeline to expect. Book a consultation to discuss your individual situation.
