Cupping Therapy For
Bursitis
Bursal inflammation — whether in the hip, shoulder, or knee — responds to cupping's ability to draw inflammatory exudate away from the affected bursa.
How Cupping Therapy Helps
By applying cups periarticular to inflamed bursae, cupping creates negative pressure that draws excess synovial fluid and inflammatory mediators away from the bursa, providing relief from the swelling and pain that characterises bursitis.
Common Symptoms
- Localised joint swelling
- Warm, tender area
- Pain with pressure or movement
- Shoulder or hip bursitis
- Knee bursitis (housemaid's knee)
- Elbow bursitis
